Doc.Berlin 2022: Award Winners Unveiled

Berlin, 16 December 2022 Over the past few days, the Doc.Berlin once again hosted its annual event at the historic Babylon cinema in Berlin. The festival was happy to welcome a number of filmmakers, Jade Eisner, Darja Preuss, Brenda Jorde, Dimitri Argyriou, Peter Becz, Jasmina Saleh, Alice Tomassini, Marko Loncarevic, Gala Hernandez Lopez, Niccolo Montanari and Heiko Aufdermauer.

Kris De Meester, festival director, looks back: “This years edition was an amazing experience. The turnout was overwhelming. Even so that weren't able to find a seat for so many people, which was such a pity. It however means that Doc.Berlin is so relevant in the festival scene.” He adds, “I would like to thank the amazing people at Babylon for their professionalism and support, it wouldn't have been possible without their dedication.”

Cherrypicked out of more than 1200 submissions, this year's official selection included 27 wonderful films hailing from Greece, Ukraine, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Italy, Portugal, Iran, Canada, Brazil, USA, UK, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, and Germany.
